18S Amplicon Sequencing for Cancer-Associated Parasite Detection

The PathOID.ai Cancer ID Screen uses 18S ribosomal RNA amplicon sequencing across multiple sample types to identify parasitic organisms with known or emerging associations to human malignancy.

Certain parasites have been classified as Group 1 carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Others are under active investigation for their roles in chronic inflammation, immune suppression, and oncogenic transformation. This screen surveys your samples for the presence of these organisms at the genetic level.

Accepted Sample Types: Stool, urine, cheek swab, hair follicle, blood, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and tissue

What this screen looks for:

  • Parasitic DNA signatures associated with colorectal, bladder, bile duct, and brain cancers
  • Organisms such as Schistosoma, Opisthorchis, Toxoplasma, Blastocystis, and related eukaryotes
  • Eukaryotic microbial patterns across multiple tissue compartments simultaneously

Future applications of this screen may expand into dedicated clinical and research tissue sequencing pipelines under a specialized oncology-focused platform.
